Santa Cruz Harbor Lighthouse
First attempt at photo merge technique. I took about 7 photos while out on the boat and using Photoshop, "stitched" them together for this panorama. Need to practice this technique again, because I love the results.
Great job! If you haven't tried vertical or rows of images yet, you're in for some squeals of delight! I routinely capture a photo in sections in order to get a very high rez file. In other words....I would maybe take 3 rows of 3 across. A tripod is ideal but I have great success hand holding. Don't forget to have everything on manual especially your WB. Looking forward to seeing more!
This one is really beautiful. What is the water hitting on shore? It looks like huge perfectly round, stripped, tree trunks. The landscape is seamless. My son did the same thing unintentionally when visiting in NY. He took 4 pics of the shore when coming back from the statue of liberty. when we got home, I realized what he had done, put them together and framed it!

Thanks Marianne: hadn't even thought of vertical images yet. This was taken from a motor vessel, hand held. I'll be doing more for sure.

Anonymous: Would love to see the photo your son did.
The water is hitting the breakwater that the Amry Corps of Engineers built years ago. It's huge cement "jacks" that they made for this purpose.
